Educational Technology Solutions

from Matthew Moore, Instructional Designer
Are your students Absolutely Learning?
formerly known as Mr. Moore (1990 - 2012)

I am an educational technology consultant who has taught students, trained faculty, designed certification programs, administered technology, supported diversity, provided inclusion through universal design, and created unique educational solutions for schools. Currently at Ventura College, I have trained faculty on educational technologies such as Designing Lessons with AI, Using Mobile Phones in the Classroom, Implementing Best Practices in Online Education, Creating Accessible Files with Microsoft products, and more.  I have designed and taught the recertification program for online teaching program and the online orientation for students, and I design and develop unique solutions for Canvas courses. I meet with faculty daily to design and implement solutions for our faculty, the staff, and administrators.  I believe there are many ways that I can help you and your school.  As you are navigating this site to view samples of my work, remember that you can contact me by filling out the form found in the contact section.

DEI Statement

As an instructional designer, I am committed to creating educational experiences that are accessible, inclusive, and equitable for all learners. I believe that diversity of thought, experience, and background is essential for fostering a vibrant and engaging learning environment. I strive to design instruction that reflects the diverse perspectives and identities of learners and that promotes empathy, understanding, and respect.

Classroom Experiences

I work as an instructional technologist and designer currently, but I have over 22 years of experience as an educator.  I currently teach the certification program for the Ventura County Community College District as well as the student orientation.  I have experiences prior that include teaching Spanish, Computer Science, Computer Skills, Music, Basketball, and Baseball to wonderful students.  As I consult daily with faculty on project design, I frequently refer to these experiences to design, develop, and implement great learning experiences.  I frequently can hear my student's voices when designing instructions as they so inquisitively asked them when I was in the classroom.
