LESSONS

I am constantly searching for motivating methods for learners and innovative ways to teach them. In my master's program at San Diego State, I have incorporated new lesson plans that support standard curricular goals while incorporating new technologies. By following standard theories of learning, I have designed and created many types of projects. Below is a sample list of projects that I (and sometimes with my colleagues) have authored, designed, developed, implemented and tested.

1. ¿Quién Es? is an interactive Spanish Language board game. Students speak simple phrases in Spanish to maneuver through a city in order to solve a mystery.

2. A Friday in Spain is a telecollaborative lesson that uses internet communication tools to create a cultural exchange between two schools.

3. The Identity Theft Center's Webquest is a standard role-playing activity that requires students to learn more about the decision making process of the United States government and the growing problem of Identity Theft in the United States.

4. Living in the Limelight is an experiment in motivating students to use Microsoft Excel by examining the lyrics and the themes of modern day rock songs.
