Recommendation

Each committee member is going to write a written recommendation to the Chairman of the FTC. Please follow the below outline and keep the length of your recommendation under two double spaced pages. Each section below could represent a separate paragraph of your paper or you could mix and match paragraphs. This outline is only a suggestion for a written recommendation.

Outline of Written Recommendation

Introduction:  Inform the Chairman of the FTC about the three most important issues that you researched or heard about in your secondary meeting.

State Your Recommendation:  Create a recommendation for change(s) based upon the issues that you chose.

Describe Potential Barriers: Describe some possible limitations to your proposal. Look for flaws, loopholes, and reasons to reject your proposal

Benefits of Proposal: Now it is time to review the main points of your arguments, and make sure that the benefits outweigh the barriers listed above.

Conclusion: Close with confidence in your proposal. Explain why this proposal is the most important proposal he has ever read.
